BLIS® with Trailer Coverage makes it easier to change lanes worry-free by alerting the driver when vehicles are in the blind spot next to the car or the back next to the trailer. This helps significantly with the decreased visibility that typically comes with pulling a trailer, making the BLIS® with Trailer Coverage indispensable for safe towing.
Pro Trailer Backup Assist™: Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ is what Ford Co-Pilot360™ provides to help you maneuver in reverse when towing, manipulating the trailer to follow the direction in which you’re backing up the truck. By simply rotating the dial in the direction in which you’d prefer to reverse, Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ follows this aim to help you back up smoothly.
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking: To reduce the severity of collisions at the front of the vehicle, or even avoid them altogether, Pre-Collision Assist is what Ford Co-Pilot360™ provides to protect drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. While you’re sitting in heavy traffic, the Stop-and-Go feature is what Ford Co-Pilot360™ executes to slow down and even brake in heavy traffic until the vehicle ahead begins to move again. Additionally, Lane Centering assists by keeping your vehicle centered in the lane, reducing the need for constant steering adjustments and making your highway drives more relaxing.
Lane-Keeping System: To help you stay balanced on the road, similarly to Lane Centering, the Lane-Keeping System is what Ford Co-Pilot360™ provides to keep Ford vehicles between the lines and away from the edge. Once the system detects that the driver has drifted out of the lane too many times, it will alert the driver with a coffee cup icon, indicating that it’s time to take a break.
Evasive Steering Assist: Should the vehicle ahead begin to slow or even stop, Evasive Steering Assist will kick in to alert the driver that a collision may be imminent. This feature does not provide any steering support; rather, it gives a notification alerting the driver to pay attention and take action immediately to steer the vehicle out of the way.
Hill Descent Control™: When you’re taking a Ford F-150 or another heavier-weight Ford vehicle downhill, Hill Descent Control™ is what Ford Co-Pilot360™ does to help you maneuver downhill at a set speed without compromising control. This feature automatically activates the brake when going down a steep hill or incline, letting you steer and brake with support until reaching the bottom.
Auto High-Beam Headlamps: Night driving just got a whole lot easier. Auto High-Beam Headlamps automatically alternate between high and low beams based on surrounding traffic conditions and approaching vehicles. This feature from Ford Co-Pilot360™ is what allows you to always have the optimal amount of lighting without worrying about blinding or affecting the driving of oncoming drivers, ensuring safer nighttime travel.
